I’m a huge fan of capitalism but this is where it fails us terribly. People should not profit off of people getting sick. It’s wrong. If someone gets sick then every avenue should be exhausted to try and get that person better no matter how “experimental” or expensive too risky. Human life is worth more than raising the stock price of your stupid insurance company. Always. Every fucking time. Do the right thing America and stop sitting around letting people die everyday when there is viable treatment options available and the only thing holding one back from treatment is the almighty dollar. It’s wrong.

The term “Christian Rock” is a misnomer. Rock is supposed to be
in-your-face defiant;music for getting drunk and/or laid to. Saying

I watched our President Obama on television saying that he wondered about the wisdom of placing a Muslim Cultural Center so near the site of the World Trade Center and thought that he’s right to wonder about that. I also wonder because it seems a pretty sure bet that the Christian equivalent of Al Qaeda will be gleefully plotting terrorism of their own against these Muslim Americans.
The President went on to say that Muslim Americans have the same rights as any other citizens to build their cultural center and to exercise their faith openly and without interference from those who would deprive them of those rights.
These obviously logical remarks were followed by howling Republicans claiming that the President was “incoherent” and that his remarks showed “a lack of respect for the American people”.
In my view, the only way our President can show respect for this country and ALL of it’s citizens is to make sure that the the Christian Fascists don’t succeed in exploiting the hatred and rampant ignorance that surrounds this issue. He said the only thing he could say that is appropriate for his vow to protect the Constitution of this country.
